The food arrived decently quick, but we were also having a late lunch.
Also had some queso and chips.
Prices - Fair.
Was a lovely dinner. Service was prompt followed with a wonderful attitude.
After a little coaxing I got my dining companion to try some of the calf fries.
Portions - Fair.
We were seated promptly, the menu had an excellent selection of items on it, and the prices while not cheap were reasonable, especially for a restaurant inside a casino located outside of town.
The chicken fried steak I ordered was decent, but again not excellent, the flavor was good, gravy was good, portion size was fair, not a huge steak, just average sized. It came with 1 side instead of 2 which I found a bit odd. For my side I ordered the cream corn, which was a surprise of its own, the cream corn was more like Santa Fe style corn. It had red and green peppers and cheese added to the corn. Nothing like the cream corn I normally get at a steak or BBQ restaurant.
Wish I could comment on the food, but didn't get time to even eat it. We had come to Winstar for a 7pm show for my wife's 40th Birthday. We were seated at 5:38. We ordered drinks which did take some time and before drinks came we ordered our food. Cheeseburger, fries and Catfish PO Boy sandwich with mushrooms. Our 24oz beers arrived. I drank all of mine and ordered a second one and noted a large party of 8 being seated close to us. We'll our waiter indicated twice our food should be out any minute. At 6:40 and a second beer gone the party of 8 was being served their food. Our two sandwiches still no where near our table. We decided to leave as waiter approached with our food. We decline the food and paid for drinks and left. Not a great first time experience here. Still love Toby Keith, but needs to put a boot in the ass of kitchen staff there!
Our favorite place to eat when we come to winstar I can eat there because they have dedicated fryers for there fries. I have to avoid gluten or I will get severely sick there cheese fries are awesome and there ranch is the best
Cowboy steak medium rare.
Floors stink so bad the odor is so strong. My husband and I just ordered a drink and left. The odor was so strong I couldn't eat.
Selections - Excellent.
Overall the meal was decent. Flavors were interesting, nothing that stood out as amazing, but nothing I would say was a total disappointment. I will return next time I visit, probably trying some more of the items.
Omg i had to force myself to finish it.
The calf fries while not the best Ive had were decent, but the serving size was a bit small. They came piled on top of fries, which I didnt notice mentioned on the menu. At $10 I had expected a large order of them like Ive received at other steak houses. The calf fries were breaded with an interesting batter, it had a spice and good seasoning to it, which was the saving grace for them as the calf fries themselves were small strips that reminded me of fried clams more than oysters which is what they usually resemble size wise.
First time dining here and was surprised to see calf fries on the menu. Of course I had to order them, not my first time eating them. A Texas staple, the chicken fried steak was my main course.
Service - Good.
